igning up for Internet service with West Florida Electric is easy. To subscribe to our Internet services, do the following:

Step 1
     Visit one of our district offices near you (Click on the office name and enter your address for directions):

Step 2
     Ask for one of our Internet customer service representatives.
Step 3
     Fill out one of our sign up forms (have your drivers license and Social Security numbers ready). Payment for the first month of service is due at this time.
     During sign up, you will be asked to supply your name, address and telephone number. You will also be asked to choose a user name and a password. Some examples of user names and passwords are "jsmith", "jpjones" or "imagator_99". These keywords will allow you to access your account.
     The sign up process takes just a few minutes.

Step 4
     There are two ways to activate your account.
     The first way is by using the compact disc (CD) we supply customers when they sign up. This CD contains the popular Internet Explorer 5.5 (IE5.5) browser and, when run in the customer's computer, will supply the customer with the step-by-step directions he or she needs to get connected to the Internet.
     More savvy computer users or customers who don't need or want IE5.5 may configure their own dial up connection using the information on their receipt.
     Technical support is available for those customers selecting either option.
